Our Executive Team




Mr. Mininberg provides overall management of the company’s development activity, including relationships with clients, vendors, and government agencies. Mr. Mininberg founded Hospital Energy in 1995. Mr. Mininberg’s professional career spans more than two decades as a health system administrator, lawyer, and government advisor.

Mr. Mininberg spent several years structuring efforts by major U.S. energy companies to acquire and modernize power generation facilities, and assisted leading American equipment manufacturers in introducing clean energy technologies, including fuel cells, to emerging markets in Central and Eastern Europe, Central America, and the Caribbean. Mr. Mininberg is a frequent lecturer on energy, healthcare, and environmental matters, including invitations from the U.S. White House, the United Nations, the World Bank, the Oxford University Law Colloquium, the Yale University Center for International Studies, the Harvard Law School Negotiation Project, and the Columbia University School of Public Health. He has also served as an advisor to the Society for Neuroscience in organizing its summit meeting with His Holiness the Dalai Lama concerning the science of the mind.




David Braun, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, has over two decades of experience in the energy and utility industries, including 16 years in the deregulated electricity and natural gas markets across the United States.  He brings his expertise in energy product structuring, pricing, energy risk management and operations.  Mr. Braun frequently speaks on electricity procurement best practices at various industry forums which have included the Association of Energy Engineers’ World Energy Congress and Globalcon, Manufacturers’ Education Council Energy Management Conferences, and various industry and trade association conferences.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Braun was Regional Vice President at GDF SUEZ Energy Resources and was responsible for retail electricity sales efforts across the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions. Prior to that he held management positions in sales, marketing, and operations at Direct Energy, The NewPower Company, Exelon Energy, and Commonwealth Edison.  Mr. Braun earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Chicago.




Mr. Diamond is responsible for the company’s financial planning, analysis and management. Prior to joining Hospital Energy, he was an independent financial consultant providing corporate finance advice to clients in the energy, technology and financial services industries.

Mr. Diamond’s work history also includes overseeing financial operations for Advanced Infrastructure Ventures, LLC, a start-up venture capital fund, and capital raising and mergers and acquisition advisory roles in investment banking, including Vice President at SoundView Technology Group, Inc., Associate at Furman Selz, LLC and Analyst at Lehman Brothers, Inc. As a result of this work, Mr. Diamond has considerable international investment experience, particularly in Asian markets. He holds an M.B.A. from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Rochester and a B.A. in Managerial Economics from Union College.




Prior to joining Hospital Energy in 2012, Steve held a number of Healthcare Facility Management positions for over 20 years. Along with implementing numerous facility management practices to improve department performance and productivity, his other areas of focus throughout his career have included facility design and engineering, energy efficiency, regulatory compliance, fire and life safety, emergency preparedness and advocating for effective regulations. He is active in various healthcare and engineering organizations including the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), New England Healthcare Engineers’ Society (NEHES) (Past President), Connecticut Healthcare Engineers’ Society (CHES) (Past President), American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Steve was the recipient of the ASHE Emerging Regional Leader Award in 2009 and NEHES Engineer of the Year Award in 2008.

Steve is a graduate of the University of New Haven with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Healthcare Facility Manager. He is active in his community, serving both as a long time volunteer firefighter and a commissioner on the city Planning and Zoning Commission.
